​cannot believe the last week of school is here!  I have been so proud of all of my students' hard work and they deserve a nice long summer break...! We are finished with learning objectives and will be preparing for third grade next week. On the other hand, I have many different end-of-year announcements to make:

• Tuesday, May 23, we have a school-wide awards assembly.  Three students have been chosen to be recognized and those parents have been invited to attend.

• Wednesday, May 24, we have FIELD DAY from 9:00-11:00.  Please have your students wear YELLOW on Wednesday , as that is our team color for Salt Lake Community College.  Please have your students wear sunscreen and athletic wear.  I will send out a reminder about Field Day on Monday!

• Thursday, May 25, we will be attending the 6th grade graduation ceremony from 2-3:20.

• Friday, May 26 is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! YAY!  We will have an end-of-yer party with some snacks, a movie, and other fun activities. There will be a school-wide talent show from 9:00-10:00.  If you would like to come celebrate with us in class, please feel free to come join us from 10:30-12:00.  In addition, we will have a whole-school flag ceremony from 1:00-1:15.  ALL STUDENTS WILL BE RELEASED AT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL when the bell rings on Friday, so please plan accordingly.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping them do so well on their ELA benchmark test this week! Our class increased 24% on the pre to post tests!  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, or want to come celebrate with us on Friday, please let me know.  Have a great weekend and HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!! 😊

Welcome! I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, is our first day of school!  Here are some important things to remember:

• School starts at 8:35 AM and ends at 3:20 PM.
• Fridays are early-out days.  School ends at 1:05 PM on all Fridays.
• If you have not completed forms for your student's lunch account, please do so as soon as possible.
• Students will be sent home with a folder called a "BE" Book.  "BE" stands for Beginning of Everyday, so students should bring it to school everyday. This folder is where you will find parent handouts, your student's work, and homework.
• The left side of the "BE" book is labeled as "Stay at Home".  Papers you find in the left pocket should stay at home for you to keep.
• The right side of the "BE" book is labeled as "Back to School".  Papers you find in the right pocket should include homework or other papers that need to be looked at, completed, and then sent back to school.
